Always something for our team of volunteers to get involved with at Evergreens Miniature Railway. (Weather permitting of course!)
Our site is still saturated so it was a case of trying to find jobs to do that didn’t involve getting muddy trousers and shoes, although that wasn’t completely possible.
Eventually we plan to improve our 5in gauge raised track by adding an extra rail so we can run 3.5in locos. Until then we are hoping to install 50 ft of track for a straight run as a taster.
Today, work was progressing on preparing for this by completing some necessary work on the metal supports.
A group of our ever helpful ladies made a start on clearing the winter grime from our garden furniture.
Other work also involved repairs to our catering van, platform work,drainage work and signalling planning.
