History

The Evergreens Miniature Railway was established in 2000 within a backyard in Stickney, near Boston, Lincolnshire. The railway featured an impressive mile-and-a-half ground-level track adorned with a signal box, bridges, lakes, and platforms. The club itself had over 30 members who would maintain and improve the railway.

Regrettably, in 2017, the property on which it resided was sold. Consequently, Evergreens had to “up-tracks,” disassemble the railway and vacate from the site.

It only took a few months, however, to be offered a new site 3 miles down the road at Keal Coates.

The new site was a 4.5 acre, flat, open field. A perfect blank canvas for Evergreens. Work to rebuild the railway started straight away.

By July 2018, most of the raised track was complete with a lot of progress being made on the ground level too.

Work persevered over the following months, culminating in our inaugural open day in May 2019. The event proved to be a resounding success, and we’ve been thriving ever since!
