August Open Day

At our Open day today we had some different locomotives to our usual fleet.

One of our members brought his 5in gauge GWR/BR Manor class steam loco number 7822 Foxcote Manor.

Some new members to our club brought along their 7.25 in gauge model of SR/BR electric loco 20003 named Templecombe. Seeing that nameplate brought back memories to me personally of days gone by when I used to drive trains through there sometimes.

Our member Zak has been busy converting the class 23 loco you may have seen working trains at Evergreens into a class 23 Baby Deltic which was part of the Eastern Region loco fleet on BR in the 1960s. Today he brought along one of the cabs. He hopes to have the complete loco running at Evergreens within the next couple of months.

A big thank you to all who visited today.
