Wow, what a busy day. Today the weather was kind to us and allowed us to do lots of tasks that have needed doing for a while now but poor weather has prevented us even getting started let alone completing any.
Today we were blessed to have 14 volunteer members on site so we managed to get a lot done.
Grass cutting, strimming, site clearance , gardening, fence erecting and boiler testing.
One of our members has recently acquired a new 7.25 in guage steam loco and it needed its boiler testing. It’s another new locomotive to look out for at Evergreens this year.
With the 7.25 gauge platform extension now completed, an area beside it was fenced off today. This area will allow viewing of locomotives being prepared for working our trains, eventually.
